Hannah Montana: The Movie grossed PHP7,000,000 in its first week of showing here in the Philippines.
The result is comparatively low compared to High School Musical 3: Senior Year which earned PHP32,000,000 in its first week.
The reason? The late showing (the movie was released in the US last April 2009), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter 6, Ice Age 3, the internet and pirated DVDs. If you are really a Miley fan, support her by watching the movie in theatres. Well, this is a late message since a lot of movie theatres nationwide aren’t showing Hannah Montana: The Movie no more.
